Start at five miles,
finish at seven majors
The plan is to run all seven Abbott World Marathon Majors and raise money doing it. I haven't run any of them yet. So far there is one race behind me, the JCB Lakeside 5, and one ahead, the Alton Towers Half Marathon in November.
This site is the whole journey from here: the training that gets me to a first marathon, the ballots and charity places, and every pound raised on the way. Recorded as it happens, not tidied up afterwards.
Moving to
Strava
Every run so far has been recorded on my phone. It has done the job, but it keeps the training to myself.
From here I am switching over to Strava so the journey is out in the open: every mile, every session of the eighteen weeks, there to follow rather than summarised after the fact.
Follow on Strava →Phone in the pocket, run recorded, numbers logged. Private by default, which is fine for training and useless for bringing anyone along.
The same runs, shared as they happen. Follow the build to Alton Towers, and everything after it on the way to seven majors.
