Watch died in the dark
A massive blunder
I was attempting to run 12 miles. I maintained a good pace. My Garmin did not have a lot of battery. It started going dark. I ended up using the last of my Garmin battery shining the torch so I could see. This ended up being a massive blunder.
I ran a little bit further when my watch died and then ran back. I have no idea how long it took in total or what pace I ran for the rest of the miles, but I know I significantly slowed down towards the end. I can only record what the watch recorded.
New 5K time on Strava: 29:01.
Big lesson learned. Never go out with low battery and consider a head torch if running in the dark.
